Delray Beach Florida , South Florida Entertainment Add commentsAre you ready for some football? Delray Beach is starting a Flag Football League for girls and boys ages 4 to 13 years old. Delray Beach invites the kids to join the Youth Flag Football League at Pompey Park. The league starts August 11th with two age divisions at Pompey Park Ball Fields on Mondays through Thursdays from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at a cost of $25.00 per person. Applications to join the league will be accepted until August 11th.
The 6 and under division is an instructional division and will focus on basic football skills like catching, throwing and team work concepts. The 13 and under division teams play non-contact 5-vs-5 games on a 60-yard field where the basics of football are learned and good sportsmanship is promoted.
