Centerline Homes is proud to be a part of Lauderhill's renaissance. Like many South Florida towns, Lauderhill began primarily as a Mecca for retirees fleeing the winters in the Northeast United States. In the late 1960's and early 1970's, snowbirds flocked to Lauderhill. The Lauderhill Mall, developed by The Sadkin Organization, was the primary shopping destination west of Federal Highway for many years. Haft-Gaines luxury planned community, Inverrary, put Lauderhill on the national map. Home to the fabled Jackie Gleason Invitational golf tournament, every major golfer and fan flocked to Lauderhill in late February. Many local high school students have memories of being caddies for then famous golfers such as Arnold Palmer. Jackie Gleason even maintained a home in the Lime Hill estate section of Inverrary for many years.
