Lake Meadow Naturals is the home of a fine variety of Heritage breeds of chickens and Ducks that lay brown eggs in various shades, white and green. Included in this collection are: Black Astralorps, Rhode Island Reds, Buff Orpingtons, Araucana (the Easter Egg Chicken) Pheonix, Turkens, Wyandottes, Jersey Giants, which are considered to be rare and unusual breeds. These birds are Cage free, Free Range, Free Roaming and Locally produced eggs are from Happy hens who have access to grass and sunshine and fresh air on Lake Meadow right outside Orlando Florida. The chickens eat only wholesome grains to include Corn, soybeans, wheat, millet, and various multi grains, oyster shells and all the fresh well water they want.

There are no Growth Hormones, Antibiotics, or Chemicals around or given to these Happy hens. Also available are Duck eggs; more ducks and new chickens growing to keep with with the demand of the loyal customers. Lake Meadows Naturals also seasonally has Fresh Goose, Turkey and Guiena hen eggs for those special events and are proud to bring back the taste of Grandma's eggs and the heritage birds that produce and lay the finest eggs available. PLEASE NOTE: Because of conditions beyond Lake Meadows Naturals control during incubation, they are unable to guarantee hatchability. However, all the eggs shipped will be fresh and from a flock with suficient male to female ratio.

Lake Meadow Naturals is open for farm tours and you pick eggs every saturday between 9 am and 1 PM. Bring your own cartons.

Merry Heart Farm grows all produce & raises livestock in a safe natural manner. They begin their seeds indoors with fish emulsion fertilizer or earthworm tea. Next they transplant the starter plants into raised beds located in several plots on the property, carefully rotating locations to reduce pests and keep the soil viable. Merry Heart Farm grows their vegetables using organic methods. With a fresh harvest of food each week and distributed the same day. Come Experience the Taste of Thornton Park and ejoy some of the most delective food it has to offer. Take a bite or a swig from more than 40 local food and drink vendors during the festivities. Vendors include HUE, Dexter’s, Orange Blossom Pilsner, Shipyard Brewing Company and additional Thornton Park-area bars and eateries. Partial proceeds will benefit Outreach Love, Inc., an all-volunteer organization that tutors and mentors at-risk kids in the Parramore area of Orlando.

Price: $30 advance, $40 at the door

If you would like to participate, please deliver any new and unwrapped toys to the Police Department by December 18, 2009. Lobby hours are 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday. All donations will be distributed to local churches where they can be forwarded onto needy central Florida families. The Town has shown great support in the past with this drive, let’s do it again!!!!!

The first ever Celebration Art Stroll is on November 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Come meet our wonderfully talented where they will have their easels and tables set up and be in the creative process painting, drawing and more for you to see. Artists will also have browse boxes for interested art patrons. There will be between 20 and 25 artists. Entertainment will be part of the downtown festivities.
