Where to Retire magazine has named Vero Beach as a top location for retirement. In the magazine’s January/February issue, the Indian River County municipality and seven other cities are included in a story called “8 Tempting Low-Tax Towns.” Vero Beach is the only Florida location to make the list and has arguably the best year-round weather of all eight cities. The magazine cites Florida’s lack of state income tax and Vero’s 7% sales tax as benefits for retirees. Other attributes such as quality health care, activities, culture and low cost housing were also factors in selecting Vero Beach. Centerline Homes, Florida’s premier homebuilder, already knew what Where to Retire has just confirmed. Their Vero Lago neighborhood offers single family homes, with a wealth of included features in an amenity-rich neighborhood, priced from just $189,900.
