Head out to Synder Park for the First Annual Halloween Festival, October 21-24 and 28-31.

Kids can enjoy a three-acre Fantasy Fun Zone, complete with pumpkin maze, bounce houses, magic lighted wacky creatures, candy castle, cotton candy, pee-wee costume contests, and more!

Adults can venture down the two-acre Toxic Horror Trail through the woods of Snyder Park or rock out to live entertainment at our Monsters Ball main stage from 7-11 pm. If that's not enough, there will also be a Monsters Ball Live Rock Opera.

About Snyder Park

Just ten minutes from downtown, Snyder Park offers 93 acres of natural history and beauty. It will take you away from the city for a day of recreation, relaxation, and discovery in an undisturbed subtropical setting.

Snyder Park was developed considering the special needs of people with disabilities. The park offers easily accessible nature trails, parking, and restrooms.

Snyder Park is only a short ride from Georgian Oaks in Fort Lauderdale.

Parkland YMCA Teen Halloween Dance
October 28th, 6:30-9:30pm. $7 in advance VS. $10 at the door.

Teen Halloween Dance A community wide dance for children ages 11-16. Come celebrate w/ friends and a live DJ! What's better then your children being safe at one of the best events in the area! Costume Contest, refresh-ments and snacks provided. Reader’s Ring Book Club

Book Choice: Goosebumps: Ghost Beach! By R.L. Stine
Join us for a book chat for third, fourth and fifth graders. Read the book before the book club meets. The book selection for this month will be a spooky theme for Halloween. We will talk about the book, eat a snack and make a craft. Check out the library website to find out the book title, to reserve the book and for registration.

Halloween Spooktakular Storytime (ages 3 to 7)

Monday, October 24th 4:00pm
Come in costume and celebrate Halloween with two Wacky Witches as they tell spooky stories, sing silly songs and have a haunting good time. You must be a Parkland Library card holder to attend.

The Witching Hour: Halloween Stories (ages 8 and up)

Tuesday, October 25th 4:00pm
Children, 8 and up, are invited to hear creepy Halloween stories, make a Hallow-een craft, and have a spooky treat. Wear your costume! You must be a Parkland Library card holder to attend.

First Ever USTA Tennis Tournament To Be Held In Parkland

The United States Tennis Federation Presents the First U.S.T.A tennis tournament to be held in the City of Parkland on September 24th- 26th at the Terramar Park Tennis Center. This Parkland tennis tournament will be for Boy’s and Girl’s 16’s, and 18’s divisional players. Entry forms can be picked up at the Pro Shop at Terramar Park, or you can sign up through the U.S.T.A web site www.usta.com under junior tournaments.
