Children's Mardi Gras Parade

Details: Bring the family to the first Childrens Mardi Gras Parade. Kids make your own box float, Mardi Gras funnel hat and your Mardi Gras mask! There will be prizes for box floats, masks and funnel hats. All kinds of activities for the kids! We will parade inside the market place. Line up Bed Bath & Beyond entrance at 11am Parade starts at noon toward Macys judging of the floats in front of Macys.

Stop in at Isles of Oviedo we're right across from the Market Place!

When: February 27,2010 Saturday at 1 pm til 9pm
Where: Oviedo Blvd. Oviedo Florida,  follow (Red Bug Lake Rd) turns into,  Mitchell Hammock Road, toward SR 434, cross SR 434, Oviedo Blvd is 1st light, turn left

Details: Come and enjoy the fun food that the vendors have to offer, along with the entertainment on stage. Entertainment starts at 1pm till 9pm bleacher seating. We have James Mitchell, The Bands of Short Fuse, Treble Damage, and More than Planes, plus the voices of Zack Meadows Shamaron Batchelor, Vince and Megan Edmund in Rockin The Nations.

The 5th Annual Central Florida Car Show will take place Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Oviedo Marketplace. 

The event is free to the public and all proceeds benefit the Optimist International Childhood Cancer Campaign and local Optimist Programs.

You may register to enter your car in the car show by visiting www.OviedoOptimist.com.  Car Show Entry fees are only $25 if you register before December 31st or $35 after December 31st.

There will be participant judging of Law Enforcement & Public Classes (pre-1940 to 2009) and People's Choice Awards for Best in Show, Best promotional Vehicle (2-D art/3-D novelty), Favorite Ahtlete's/Celebrtiy's Vehicle.

The Oviedo City Council and Oviedo Fire Rescue, in cooperation with Sunshine Community Food Pantry, will be conducting a canned food drive through December 31st.
