EL-DOE's Present A Luau For Charity
Date & Time: Saturday September 4th 2010

The EL-DOE’s, the women’s organization of the Sebastian Elk’s Lodge #2714 in Sebastian, will hold a Luau on Saturday evening September 4th.  So don your grass skirts or colorful shirts and come on out and join the fun.

Cocktails from 5:30 - 6:00pm and dinner at 6:00pm. A full course dinner will be served with the main course being Waikiki Chicken. Music will be presented by Lady Grayson for your listening or dancing pleasure. The cost of this affair will be a donation of only $12.00 per person for members and their guests. It is recommended that you buy your tickets early, as this is sure to be a sell out. Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased at the Lodge lounge after 3:00pm.

For additional information call 589-1516. This occasion will help support The EL-DOE’s two major projects, the Children’s Therapy Services of Florida and the Children’s Youth Camp in Umatilla, FL.

14th Annual Dunn's Run Benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County
On Sunday, October 3rd, 2010

It's a tough time to be a kid. There are pressures of peers, drugs, gangs, broken homes and overcrowding and the disadvantages circumstances of poor education, low income, unemployment, poor homes where love and attention are lacking. At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, there is a place a child can go to get away. Away from those pressures and temptations. A place for some fun and companionship or just to hang out. And more often than not, once a child becomes a member, their life is positively changed forever.

The purpose is to help young people ages 7-17 improve their lives by building self-esteem and developing values and skills during their critical period of growth. Services and programs provided focus on everything from education, social recreation, health and physical education, to leadership and citizenship development, cultural enrichment, and personal adjustment with one-on-one counseling. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County also gives an The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs is to assure and to enhance the quality of life for children as participating members of a diverse urban society.

About the Race

New course to start at the beach and end at the beach! All runners and walkers will start the race on AIA and trek alongside the beautiful Deerfield Beach through the city back to the same beach side location.  This will allow all of your family and friends to cheer you on from start until finish! This event is fun for everyone regardless of ability weather you choose to run or walk.

If you raise raise $100 you will receive a Dri-Fit Running Shirt.

If you raise $500 you will be giving the choice of receiving a Garmin Forerunner 110 running or a Philip Stein Fruitz watch from JR Dunn which is one of "Oprah's Favorite Things" which has been seen in Vogue, In Style, The Today Show & So much more.

ENCORE! Cast Choir and Orchestra, formed in 2002 by a group of Disney Cast Members, will be performing DREAM OUR DREAMS - A Musical Tribute to the Legacy of Disney on August 6, 7, and 8 in Epcot's World Showplace. Over the past eight years ENCORE! has performed concerts featuring the music of Broadway, patriotic songs, gospel hymns, rock anthems, movie themes, and pop favorites, raising more than $110,000 for a variety of Central Florida charitable organizations. Centerline Homes is teaming up with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and their “Bond, Bail Bond” initiative to help make a difference in 2010. Cleverly based on Ian Fleming’s iconic James Bond series of books and movies, the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is challenging corporations to raise money by “bonding out” one of their employees. Donations of all sizes are much appreciated. For the first time, MDA has provided a web page link as another convenient way of making a donation.

Bring your dog to watch the Florida Marlins battle the Pirates on on Friday, October1st at 7:10pm at Sun Life Stadium. Tickets are only $12 for Adults, $6 for Kids (12 and under) and $6 for Dogs. 100% of the proceeds from the dog tickets goes toward helping all the animals at the humane society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet!
